Croatia - July 2024
After our Croatia 2023 trip (Balkans - July 2023), which we very much enjoyed - we were searching for another good summer holiday. But we were paralysed by choice and had delayed booking something for too long. Finally, after being sick of the miserable summer here in the UK - we decided to go back to Croatia again, but this time to Split instead of Dubrovnik. We did a few day trips to:
- Krka waterfalls
- Trogir town
- Hvar Island
- Hvar town & Jagodna beach
- Kris fortress
We rented a car for a few days and took the car on the ferry over to Hvar, like last time, driving in Croatia was fairly pleasant experience. The roads outside of the cities are all brand new and in immaculate condition.

Ferry back from Hvar to Split
Klis Fortress, provides a great view over Split and was one of the filming locations for the city of Meereen in Game of Thrones.
